Hi,
Thanks for the recomendation.
I just tested last days the mb2md.pl program and is the only one
that worked for me.

Here are the result:
Perfect_Maildir
http://perfectmaildir.home-dn.net/
Works ok but does not maintain the "unread" flag

mbox2maildir.c (http://www.qmail.org/top.html#maildir)
http://riemann.fmi.uni-sofia.bg/vladov/ftp/mbox2maildir.tar.gz
Very fast but put all emails as new, print 1 line per email
while converting

mb2md
http://batleth.sapienti-sat.org/projects/mb2md/
The best I found, It can recurse you ~/mail and convert it for you.
Not so fast but keep all message flags. All compatible with dovecot

So, my recomendation is to use mb2md.

I'm on sendmail + procmail + dovecot 1.0alpha5 + maildir and all is
working fine. I use this default_mail_env:
default_mail_env = maildir:~/Maildir/:INBOX=/var/mail/Maildir/%u/
so, all my folders are no under the Inbox as I expected.

Hi,
I'm testing/debuging the migration from mbox to maildir in a mailserver
running Dovecot 1.0alpha5.
I migrated all 472715 emails(in a test server) and later noted that dovecot
could not get the same flags/status of the emails as in the mbox.
I was using perfect_maildir.pl and I think its not dovecot fault. Seems
to me that perfect_maildir.pl convert the emails in a way that dovecot
could not understand completelly.
So, my cuestion is, which mbox to maildir converter can I use that
is compatible with dovecot 1.0alpha5 ?
Thanks
Oliver
