[Dovecot] dovecot-auth: BUG: login gave a PID of existingconnection

i no installed dovecot-1.0-0_4_stable20050221.rhfc3.at.i386.
when i try to start the dovecot service the log says:

Aug  7 19:20:42 dovecot: BUG: Authentication server sent invalid SPID (11169 
!= 11521)
Aug  7 19:20:42 dovecot: Auth process died too early - shutting down

i hope you can give me an advise to solve this problem.
