Yes!  You are right.  "shadow" should work as well.  

I just give it a try and auth worked!  Thanks.

However, I am not hitting another problem : no proper permission.

If I understand correctly I have set it in dovecot.conf file to use
"root" for processing.  How come I don't have enough permission?
