Dovecot doesn't require any external libraries, but if you want
things like SQL or LDAP authentication, you'll need libraries for those.
Maybe the only pretty useful, but not required, library is iconv. I
think most systems have that installed by default anyway. It adds
support for searching non-US-ASCII text.
