I'm using filesystem quotas with Maildir format mailboxes on RHEL3. I'm
using the 0.99.x series of dovecot while waiting for a chance to test
out the 1.0 series.
I'm also using squirrelmail for webmail access. I use the disk_quota
plugin to display the filesystem quota usage per user with out any
apparent problems.

I also do this. at least RHEL3 comes with a program called "warn_quota"
that can be run from cron. I actually re-wrote it in perl to implement
localization since I work in Japan at a Japanese company and needed to
report the quota status in Japanese.
