[Dovecot] Login issue

Hi,

In an IRC channel, I've been told to uncomment args = dovecot and 
replace it with args = *. Now I don't get any errors remotely on 
Thunderbird side, however I get the following messages in 
/var/log/dovecot.log

What's this error 89 and how can I fix it?
