Sorry Timo just getting a lot of flak over the lock file problems and hoping
beta8 will fix them.

i have no idea how to do a gdb backtrace. (googling now)

I just did a diff on the config.log files and see the working test server
has a later version of gcc

< gcc (GCC) 3.4.2 20041017 (Red Hat 3.4.2-6.fc3)        non working dovecot
