Because people kept bugging me to write it until I gave in. Also some
POP3 features can't be easily implemented with IMAP interface.

I can't really think of how RSS feeds could even work. It would need
some web server I suppose. It would need authentication I suppose. Would
it generate some RSS files somewhere and let web server serve them, or
would it run as cgi-bin? And so on.
