[Dovecot] Broken Debian package

[Thing]

Hi,

I went into,

/home/thing/mail/.imap/INBOX

and mv'd the contents to safe/

I then re-connected and I can now re-connect....Dovecot re-created the
following files,

-rw------- 1 thing thing  7976 2008-04-06 12:39 dovecot.index
-rw------- 1 thing thing 18432 2008-04-06 12:40 dovecot.index.cache
-rw------- 1 thing thing 10100 2008-04-06 12:40 dovecot.index.log
drwxr-xr-x 2 root  root   4096 2008-04-06 12:37 safe

Looking at safe/

hermes:/home/thing/mail/.imap/INBOX# ls -l safe/
total 376
-rw------- 1 thing thing   7976 2008-04-06 09:25 dovecot.index
-rw------- 1 thing thing 136192 2008-04-06 09:55 dovecot.index.cache
-rw------- 1 thing thing  88096 2008-04-06 09:55 dovecot.index.log
-rw------- 1 thing thing 131132 2008-03-30 19:21 dovecot.index.log.2
hermes:/home/thing/mail/.imap/INBOX#

So maybe dovecot.index.cache became corrupt?
