btw, i download the same version of lampp mysql from mysql.com
and copy the include dir to the lampp /mysql directory

and

export -p CPPFLAGS="-I/opt/lampp/lib/mysql/include/"
export -p LDFLAGS="-L/opt/lampp/lib/mysql/"
./configure --with-mysql

works like a charm
