deliver is kind of tricky with multiple UIDs. Then it needs to be
started as root, either directly by the MTA (in Postfix you can use it
via mailbox_command) or by making it setuid-root.
In future Dovecot will support deliveries via LMTP and then there won't
be problems with multiple UIDs. But for now it's tricky and sometimes
annoying.

Having users be in a shared group doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
You might as well have them use the same UID since they can reach each
others' mails anyway then.

Doesn't matter what the group is called, as long as deliver can be
executed.
