No, it's not a problem. This is a really zero bytes message:
$ echo "123123123" | strace /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver -d koc

>> write(7, "\n", 1) = 1

Yes, this patch solves the problem: "rejected: Not enough disk space".
And inbox is rollbacked now.
