Oops, sorry, my bad. I'm sure I meant:
    mail_location = mbox:~/:INBOX=~/Mailbox


But the configuration suggested by William Blunn look OK.

And the .imap folder is only created when you are using the (obsolete)
mdbox mailbox format. It has nothing to with the used protocols.
