[Dovecot] Could use some help setting Dovecot up for the first time

My pipe for master.cf is as follows: (My mail group has a GID of 6)
dovecot   unix  -       n       n       -       -       pipe
   flags=DRhu user=vmail:mail argv=/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver -d 
${recipient}

My dovecot.conf file has the following 3 lines in it
mail_uid = vmail
mail_gid = mail
mail_privileged_group = mail

and it is still producing the same error as i had originally posted ;(
