[Dovecot] Any Knowledge, pls: Iphone and Dovecot - 2-way sync

You should not have any problems using iPhone,Dovecot and Outlook together. My 2nd point about the default folders on the iPhone is relevant to Outlook - I believe it uses "Sent" and "Trash" folders, unlike the iPhone's "Sent Messages" and "Deleted Messages".

Just in case you haven't used IMAP in Outlook before (I apologize if I'm being too presumptuous here) one thing that might seem strange is that Outlook, by default, uses the mark/expunge method for deleting messages. Basically this means when you go to delete a message it will put a line through the message and grey it out but not actually remove it from the folder you are looking at - you'll need to find the menu option to "purge deleted messages" or something to that effect. AFAIK on the iPhone when you delete a message in the Mail app, it is removed right away from the IMAP server.
