[Dovecot] One important question!

Hello!Please, give me a feedback as soon as you can!
I need some advice regarding  "dovecot self signed certificate" configuration!If you have any experience in working with php IMAP-module that would be useful for me to know what would you say about below:  
Problem: I can connect to my INBOX through telnet, but I cannot do it through imap-functions (Certificate failure for ...)?
