Threading bases on Message-ID, References and In-Reply-To headers. What
are they of the messages with similiar looking subject?
Of course, some MUAs may take the subject into account, too.
Second, you should verify, if Roundcube uses Dovecot for threading. If
not, you should ask on a Roundcube list.
