Doveadm auth fails

That helped!  Here's the result:

kwright at grace:/etc/dovecot/conf.d$ sudo doveadm auth lookup
me at mydomain.com
passdb: me at mydomain.com
  user      : me at mydomain.com            
kwright at grace:/etc/dovecot/conf.d$ sudo doveadm auth test
me at mydomain.com
Password: 
passdb: me at mydomain.com auth failed
extra fields:
  user=me at mydomain.com

Are we making progress?
