MySQL's encrypt() is your friend: select encrypt('foo', 'ab'); select encrypt('foo', '$1$01234567'); select encrypt('foo', '$5$rounds=1000$0123456789abcdef'); select encrypt('foo', '$6$rounds=1000$0123456789abcdef');
