but password and user are correct and worked with dovecot 0.99.14
Works with me.. Although test66 had some other mysql problems. The dovecot-sql.conf file format is different from 0.99.x, maybe that has something to do with it? Did you check that the connect-setting is exactly as shown in examples above?
