[Dovecot] How to setup dovecot under MACOSX?

I have built Dovecot 1.0 test 67 under MACOSX. But I can not find any tutorial on how to setup it.

Please allow me to explain my need.

I want to setup a local imap server, and then import all my email from Mail.app and Gnus into it. Thus I can choose to read emails with any client. It's only a single user environment.

Could anyone instruct me if there is any tutorial for Dovecot MACOSX setting?
