What do you mean exactly? By the it is /etc/nsswitch.conf on FreeBSD too.

A default one looks like:

group: compat
group_compat: nis
hosts: files dns
networks: files
passwd: compat
passwd_compat: nis
shells: files

I'm no expert on nsswitch by the way! :)
