Just wanted to add myself to the list of impacted. Using updated Alma Linux 8 with Dovecot 2.3.16.
I do note that disabling imap idle is mentioned as a potentially helpful workaround however presumably that would stop 'push' style updating for all other users so its not really suitable in my case.
Advanced user, large quantity of users. Willing to pay for a solution.
