That's a rather strange looking dovecot -n. You have every service listed there with name setting. That's not normal. And of course Raspberrypi .. wonder if it has something to do with it.
Regarding connecting to the IMAP port this would have to wait until the next time the hang happens.
Yeah. Also get a list of "ps auxw" output. straceing some processes (dovecot, imap-login) might be helpful too.
