It depends on how you work. Usually, I read the doc on my laptop (I
even keep it for future reference) and have some ssh sessions open
where I install/configure my stuff. For recent software packages, the
tendancy is to have the doc as wiki anyway. IMHO, it's much more
readable than a 80 Kb README or INSTALL.
