The only one like that I know of is Courier, and I found it incredibly frustrating to work with. I use dovecot and postfix, but don't have the virtual user issue -- all of my users (for twelve domains) have real accounts.
I would have done that, except for the fact that there is the issue of same user name users under different domains, and I don't want the mess of mapping those in strange ways to system users (and I don't want "@" characters in system users).
