If you've ever wondered how Dovecot works internally, I've now written something about it to the wiki. It's probably a bit confusing and there are a lot of things missing, but it's better than nothing. :)
What about some nice schematic "pictures" like http://www.postfix.org/OVERVIEW.html has? :-)
