Are you sure this is a local delivery?
I've overridden LDA/procmail:
FEATURE(local_procmail',
/etc/mail/smrsh/dovecot-deliver',
`/etc/mail/smrsh/dovecot-deliver -f $g -d $u -m $h')dnl
in addition to MAILER(local)
instead of creating another mailer.
I would expect mailer=dovecot in your log line, if sendmail would use your dovecot mailer, instead it looks more like a SMARTHOST log.
Did you route mails to your dovecot mailer in mailertable?
