Plain authentication works. But not TLS.
I don't see anything in the configuration file that seems obvious to deny TLS authentication.

I have my thunderbird setup to do TLS. I've put it on the TLS if available
as well, still no love.
Dovecot logfile contains:

I've got beta2 running on an RHEL4 box, and I've had no problems with Thunderbird (with people running anywhere from 0.7 to 1.5). Which version of dovecot are you running?
