Ie, if you are in a folder other than Inbox, you wouldn't get IDLE
A common approach for clients using IDLE as a push alternative is to open multiple connections, running an IDLE in each mailbox.
For example, I currently have ChatterEmail running on my Treo with 5 open connections to my Dovecot server, one for each of 5 folders.
