i also have this issue with other impap servers (courier) so i think its more a thunderbird bug then a dovecot.
could you verify it with other mailclients ?

I have seen this, since I'm using 0.99.14, I don't bother reporting bugs :)
I'm running it on Solaris, and using Thunderbird on Win and Debian.
If you click on another folder, does everything come good?
