The subscriptions file is not prefixed with a '.' as that would conflict with maildir folder name space. You're after: ~/mail/subscriptions

I migrated from UW IMAP, copied ~/.mailboxlist to ~/mail/.subscritions

When I access SquirrelMail, is sees the folders on the left side. If I modifiy my folder subscription, they dissappear all but INBOX, and the .subscriptions file gets deleted.

What am I missing.
