This means that the mbox file has extra successive From-lines, eg.:

From someone From another

without anything between them. 0.99.x Dovecot can't handle them. Either remove them by hand, or use 1.0alpha which doesn't have that problem. Those extra From-lines however shouldn't be there and they can cause problems in any case.
