Yeah, my comment on the kernel thing was just in reply to one of Cor's 3 debugging tracks, 1 of which was to try upgrading the kernel. I figured I should mention the load issue if he might be upgrading to the latest/greatest, since it could make things worse (or make things *look* worse).
Maybe I need to re-read that thread again (twice). At this point I'm still not sure if the load is actually higher, or if the bug is that's it's simply being *reported* as higher when it really isn't.
The load is definitely higher. Yesterday I kept 2.0 running until noon. Half an hour before noon users were reporting their logins were timing out. At the same time the load skyrocketed (system was at almost 100 percent)
