[Dovecot] dsync

Hi

Is dovecot dsync considered an alternative to offlineimap (or others) when both distant and local are IMAP dovecot servers ?

I used offlineimap for this, but somehow offlineimap got messed up (more than once, but without me able to explain how it happened). So I'm considering dsync for this purpose...
