[Dovecot] Add SSL to Dovecot & SquirrelMail

I am relatively new to setting up mail servers and wondered how difficult it would be to add SSL to my current Dovecot & SquirrelMail setup. Would I just add SSL to the squirrelmail directory under appache with my certificate? Does Dovecot need any changes to the configuration? I have it working fine without SSL.
