Yes, the problem has been gone when I use the ssl-proxy-openssl.c version from beta3. Looks like there must be some "disconnect" bug in the new file.
As a mere user, I don't know anything about dovecot code. So please excuse my question: does this apply to all use of SSL/TLS, or would IMAP with STARTTLS work? I'm not sure what proxy in this context means, and want to be sure that TLS works before upgrading our life server.
BTW: Sometimes even he asks me a second time for the password on login and I'm pretty sure that the password is correct. Looks like the disconnect problem, too.
