Sorry to bother again, but the problem persist.

I have checked all the configurations of dovecot, and seems all ok, but randomly the segfault pops up again, without no apparently reason.

My packages are:

ii  dovecot-core                    1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.10                       amd64        secure POP3/IMAP server - core files

ii  dovecot-imapd                   1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.10                       amd64        secure POP3/IMAP server - IMAP daemon

ii  dovecot-managesieved            1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.10                       amd64        secure POP3/IMAP server - ManageSieve server

ii  dovecot-mysql                   1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.10                       amd64        secure POP3/IMAP server - MySQL support

ii  dovecot-pop3d                   1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.10                       amd64        secure POP3/IMAP server - POP3 daemon

ii  dovecot-sieve                   1:2.2.22-1ubuntu2.10                       amd64        secure POP3/IMAP server - Sieve filters support

Can be a temporarly solution to uninstall dovecot-managesieved ?

Claudio.

You should install dovecot-dbg, and follow https://www.dovecot.org/bugreport-mail, then we could figure out why it's crashing in the first place.

I have followed the instructions to debug the problem, and I have uploaded the crash log at this location:

https://justpaste.it/5wlot

Yesterday the system have got some I/O Errors on the hard disk (virtual system hosted from Seeweb). The problems on the disk now are solved by the provider, and the crash reported is before that.

So, now my question is: the doveconf crash can be linked to the hardware problem ? Or something else?

Thanks for your help.

Cordially,

Claudio Prono.

I tried unpacking the crash file you pastebin, can you please send it as attachment to me?

Aki

It seems you are at least missing postmaster_address in your config. I was not able to actually make dovecot crash when I tested, so can you try adding this setting and see if it helps?
