However, there's was quite a lot of information on wiki.dovecot.org that is not available on doc.dovecot.org. One such example is the setup guide for a Dovecot Director cluster [1]. The "corresponding" page on doc.dovecot.org [2] even starts with the following sentence:

Are there plans to migrate such pages to doc.dovecot.org as well? If not, could the Wiki be restored? Of course it's possible to access the Wiki contents via web.archive.org, but that's rather cumbersome and slow.

Wiki is now considered migrated, did you try the "Quick search"? It reveals https://doc.dovecot.org/admin_manual/director/ which i think is the page you are looking for?
