[Dovecot] OT Project idea: IMAP plugin for Google Desktop

Posting here, as Dovecot seems to be the premier IMAP server available.

In case anyone is looking for something to work on, I found today that Google Desktop only understands email clients that keep mail on the client, and it would be nice if there was a plugin that understood IMAP. Here's a site that seems to explain how to write such plugins:
