% /usr/dovecot-2/bin/doveconf -n -c /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf # 2.0.5: /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf doveconf: Warning: NOTE: You can get a new clean config file with: doveconf -n > dovecot-new.conf ... verbose_proctitle = yes version_ignore = yes doveconf: Error: protocols: Unknown protocol: sieve doveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf: protocols: Unknown protocol: sieve
Can I ignore this? I patched 1.2.x with the managesieve patch, and I built 2.0.5 from source and checked out pigeonhole-2.0 from mercurial.
I wonder where this error comes from, since:
# fgrep -i sieve /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf protocols = imap imaps pop3s managesieve mail_plugins = sieve quota trash mail_log fts fts_squat # Used by both the Sieve plugin and the ManageSieve protocol sieve=~/.dovecot.sieve sieve_dir=~/sieve
