Many people (especially those in Marketing) don't know this, but please note that version strings are *not* decimal numbers, as evidenced by the fact that they are written with periods even in countries where the decimal separator is a comma. There is no version 1.09 -- you must mean 1.0.9. But you might also have meant 1.9, if such a version had existed.
