[Dovecot] okay, working, but not quite pretty...
Hi all. I got my previous problem fixed. Effective uid and gid fix in dovecot.conf file made it work. However, I'm still seeing this in my /var/log/dovecot.conf
dovecot: 2006-04-13 21:09:00 Info: imap(chl@iaminla.com): Effective uid=1000, gid=1000
The uid and gid *should* both be 1009, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to configure that. I looked around the list and couldn't find the answer. Help a noob out please?
I promise I'll write up a detailed howto for my debian + postfix + dovecot using static userdb's when I have it all working. :)

It's always taken from userdb. Looking at the config you posted in web, it first looks for "chl@iaminla.com" from /etc/passwd. If the user is in there it's used, perhaps you didn't expect that? After that it looks into the passwd-file.
