What have I missed? Or am I not supposed to move maildirs once they're in use?
Restarting Dovecot doesn't kill the existing processes which are still using the old directories and since they're gone they begin complaining.
Correct way to do moving would be:
kill dovecot killall imap move directories start dovecot
participants (1)
