Dovecot version 1.0.rc26.

Situation is essentially a forklift upgrade to make more horsepower available for email.

Given a new mail store using Postfix and Dovecot (Maildir), is it possible to transfer from the old mail box (running the same config) or will this generate problems with the various indices maintained by Dovecot?

First thing you need to do is update to the latest RELEASE version (1.0.10 currently)... if memory serves, rc26 was one of the buggy ones...
