What does this error mean and how do I fix it? I am on a Centos 4.9

0.99 is simply way, way, *way* too old to waste any time helping you.
The short answer is - *upgrade* to a more recent version (at *least* the latest 1.2.x series, but preferably 2.0.16)...
Be sure to read all of the docs on upgrading, because you *will* have some reconfiguring to do...
*Then*, if you have any questions/issues, by all means come back and ask...
