Hi,

I am trying this way(mailinglist), as I cant find good 'support'/howto/tutorials on the website.

I am running Fedora Core II, using postfix with mysql, and I want to use dovecot as imap server.

Now I installed Dovecot using dag wieers SRPM, I compiled it with mysql, pgsql;

%configure \

    --with-ssl="openssl" \

    --with-ssldir="%{_datadir}/ssl" \

    --with-ldap \

    --with-pgsql \

    --with-mysql \

    --with-cyrus-sasl2 \

    --with-rawlog

%{__make} %{?_smp_mflags}

After compiling it, I installed the rpm. No problem at all.

I configure the dovecot.conf like this;

#auth = plain digest-md5

#auth_methods = plain digest-md5

auth_userdb = mysql /etc/dovecot-mysql.conf

auth_passdb = mysql /etc/dovecot-mysql.conf

default_mail_env = maildir:/home/mail/virtual/%d/%n

# Use this logfile instead of syslog(). /dev/stderr can be used if you want to

# use stderr for logging (ONLY /dev/stderr - otherwise it is closed).

log_path = /tmp/dovecot/log1

# For informational messages, use this logfile instead of the default

info_log_path = /tmp/dovecot/log2

Then I try run it:

[root@octa SPECS]# cat /tmp/dovecot/log1

Can anyone tell me whats wrong please ?
