[Dovecot] Disconnected (no auth attempts)
Hello list,
I have a user who is not able to 'get' email using the 'Get Mail' option in his Thunderbird Client.
The error on the server is the following:
[Dovecot] dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts) : rip 192.168.7.7, lip 192.168.7.12, TLS
This user is able to receive mail on his phone, however.
What does this error mean?

The message means the client (thunderbird) disconnected without attempting to authenticate.
The likely cause is incorrect settings in thunderbird, possibly the server->authentication method setting.
