Hello,
I found this link in the documentation:
https://doc.dovecot.org/configuration_manual/dovemon/
But where can I find the program "dovemon"? I searched all over whithout luck. In the source code, Google, nothing. It seems as only the web site would exist.
Can somebody help me please

Hi!
Our public documentation covers also features that are available in pro version of dovecot, such as dovemon. So that's why you have been unsuccesful in finding it.

Which says it is a tool for dovecot director. Are you using dovecot director?
<https://wiki.dovecot.org/Director> <https://doc.dovecot.org/admin_manual/director/backend_modifications/> <https://doc.dovecot.org/search/?q=dovemon>
These might help, if director is something relevant to you.

Don't know why a nifty utility is commercial. Take a look at https://github.com/brandond/poolmon as an alternative.

Hi Christian
This confused me as well. I later found out, that „Dovemon“ is an exlcusive part of the dovecot „pro" Package (the paid docecot). This is why you cannot find it.
best regards, Steven

You can write something similar and I think others did already if you Google for it. Shouldn't take you more than 1-2h to write something in Perl:connect to backend, no login, remove from director

Poolmon already exists as a repalcement for this matter.
However, it should be made more clearly in the documentation, that „Dovemon“ is not part of the community package and therefore not available in the free version, IMHO.

Dovemon is only part of the enterprise edition. It is not open source. Contact Open-Xchange sales for more information.
