Hi

i am using dovecot 1.0 stable no SSL on FC3 and mbox format i have a user who seem prone to file locks. he had a pop3 process running for 8 hours. i killed it and deleted the lock but it returned a few hour later. the user is using Outlook express only.

as a test i have setup a new account for him but would like to know if there is a way to stop this happening.

i have gone thru the conf and

default_mail_env = mbox:/var/spool/mail/%u

#lock_method = fcntl

#mbox_read_locks = fcntl #mbox_write_locks = dotlock fcntl #mbox_read_locks = fcntl

mbox_dotlock_change_timeout = 30
